What do you like about the Google product? What do you dislike? Would you recommend the product to friends and colleagues?

I had a look at Google Earth. I really like this product because I can use it to show my family in England places in Calgary. When I was searching for my house when I moved here, they looked at the addresses on Google Earth and looked at the different properties with me! The house searched and gave parental input from afar!

I would definitely recomend the produc to people for looking up new areas, for holiday planning and things. However I found it quite difficult to use at first so people need to stick with it and get people to help so that they get the most out of it.

Why do you think social networking sites are so popular? What are the main appeal factors?

Sites like Facebook are popular because people live so far from family and friends. No matter where you are you can keep in touch with family and friends all across the world. Also, they are useful to track down people you might not have seen in a long time but would like to catch up with- like childhood friends.

How easy or difficult was it to find articles that needed editing? Were the errors you found factual or grammar / spelling?

I did not find it very easy to find a topic that had not been covered by Wikipedia. However, I did find and correct several grammatical errors on some of the topics I read. Of those I read I did not find any factual mistakes but in the past when using Wikipedia for my studies I certainly have; particularly issues around the use of statistics.

What are the advantages of storing, sharing, and tagging web content this way? What are the disadvantages?

The advantages are that there is lots of information all well organised. However, I found it very difficult to use because of the complicated layout and the fact that there is so much solid text.

What do you hope to learn from CPL 2.0?

I hope to learn some new, good ideas to help imrpve my own blog that I have to keep my family updated.
I also hope to learn better ways to search for things over the internet to help me find better results.
